We at Winona Veterinary Hospital understand that now, more than ever, controlling costs is a major concern for pet owners. Winona Vet Hospital has an advantage in keeping some costs down in that we are a small business, owned by Winona residents. We don't owe corporate shareholders a return on investment; increasing numbers of veterinary practices are becoming corporate, which is directly related to increased veterinary costs. Often these practices keep their corporate ownership hidden from the public and most, on the surface, appear to be locally owned. Winona Vet continues to be wholly locally owned and operated.
As financial stress increases we are committed to doing everything possible to keep costs down. We will not be doing any building remodels anytime soon and we are keeping a lean staff. That said, our costs of doing business continue to rise due to inflation, tariffs, political and economic uncertainty, increases in property taxes, increased costs of staffing and maintenance, etc. The cost of doing business has never been higher. Unfortunately this means that the cost of pet care has gone up and may continue to go up, but as owners we are committed eating as much of the increased cost as possible. We care deeply about the continued care of our community pets and pet owners. Thank you for continuing to trust us with your pet's health care.
That all said, here's some basic info about payment options:
1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill.
2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) checks and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. We understand this and are able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments. You can either apply at our hospital, where we'll call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or apply yourself online at: www.CareCredit.com.
Highlights of the CareCredit program:
- Low Monthly Payments (3% of the Total Balance)
- Interest Free For 6 Months
- Determine Approval in a Few Minutes
- No Annual Fee
